Welcome Back to Nature 🌿
Hola Queridos,
Welcome to my online journal. I’m Amy Joy, a Maya-Latina, Guatemalan-Canadian artist, photographer, and storyteller.
I picked up my first camera at fourteen, and I haven’t put it down since. Photography became my way of seeing, of feeling, of expressing. Over the years, my lens wandered through weddings, portraits, events, yet no matter where life carried me, my heart always returned to one place: Nature.
You see, photography has never just been a job or hobby. For me, it is a practice of connection - back to nature, to God, and back to self.
I’ve been blessed to live in some of the world’s wildest landscapes: the Northern Yukon, the highlands of Lake Atitlán, the rugged shores of Vancouver Island. Each one has shaped me, challenged me, inspired me. Nature has been my greatest teacher and muse.
This visual journal, Back to Nature, is where I finally share that journey with you, my wildest and most intimate stories, reflections, poems, and art co-created with the earth. With each entry, I’ll release a Limited Edition Art Print, so these landscapes can live on in your homes, your spaces, your hearts.
This has been a dream for many years, and it feels sacred to finally bring it to life. Each piece is more than art - it’s a seed. 🌱 With every print, 10% will go directly toward reforestation and conservation projects in the Guatemalan highlands, giving back to the land and communities that mean so much to me.
Thank you, from the depths of my heart, for being here, for walking this path with me, back to art, back to nature.

With reverence + gratitude,
🌿 Amy Joy | Quetzal Libre ✨
